This evening a diver showed signs of decompression sickness after surfacing from a dive to 114m deep in Tuna Hästberg mine. The surface team followed a pre-planned emergency routine and the casualty was transported to the entrance of the mine in 75 minutes. Oxygen treatment was given throughout the evacuation process. An ambulance was waiting, followed by helicopter transport to the recompression chamber in Karolinska.
A full report on the incident will be prepared and I hope this will answer any questions that anybody may have.
