Jag har nu fått svar till mitt mail till Rohan, Seastar Watersports. Så här skriver han:
Hi John,
Sorry for thae late reply. Been busy building our new website.
The Navy here this week came around the dive centres and have told us we are not allowed to use closed circuit rebreathers and cameras were brought up as being a "security" issue.
At this stage, we have had an Aqaba Diving Association meeeting last night which I attended with Rod from Dive Aqaba. The ADA is now addressing a letter to the Navy about the closed circuit rebreathers and will have a meeting with them and the PADI area manager will also attend this meeting.
The cameras are allowed but the navy wants us to apply for permission for divers bringing them in. So when a diver books on the internet for example, we give the diver information to the Navy. It is not at that stage as of yet, but we anticipate no problems with this.
So at this stage, I would not be concerned, but will keep you updated on the issue. If any problems are encountered, I will certainly let you know.
